Medic (Offshore) - Malaysia

The Role:
Upkeep of all hospital and medical equipment and supplies.
Conduct basic first aid training via lectures and demonstrations.
Safe keeping of all drugs on the barge.
To liaise with and monitor the catering staff to actively promote a high standard of cleanliness and good hygiene practices. This will include weekly inspections with the Barge Master and Chief Steward of food storage facilities, mess halls and accommodation.
To record and/or take the required samples of potable water and any food samples as required under catering regulations.
Submit monthly medical and health reports to COMPANY.
Submit detailed medical injury reports following treatment of the patient to COMPANY.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
He shall have had a minimum of 5 years working experience at offshore locations or in an Outstation Clinic.
He will be fully conversant with the COMPANY's relevant procedures and guidelines.
A qualified doctor is preferred. Alternatively he shall have a minimum education to SC/MCE or equivalent and must also have passed S.R.N. Certificate, and be registered with the Malaysian Hospital Assistants Board.
Medical: OGUK Medical Check up / Petronas Medical Check up
Safety Cert: OPITO approved BOSIET.
