Medic/HSE Support

HSE Offshore are looking for Medic/HSE support candidates for an up coming North Sea project.
Position Summary:
Offshore Medic/HSE required for a long term contract commencing July 2014.
HSSEQ DUTIES:
Supporting line management with HSE and by providing advice on HSE matters and promoting HSE
culture by motivating and educating employees to work safely. Duties to include:
- Daily walk arounds, hazard hunts and participation in toolbox talks
- Assistance with risk assessments
- Participation in audits and inspections
- Conduct safety training on board the vessel
- Incident and near miss reporting
- Audits and inspections of vessel
- Assist with development and implementation of work procedures
- Participation in Incident investigations
- Advice/participation in contractor/supplier audits
- Participation in drills
MEDICAL DUTIES:
- Provision of appropriate primary and emergency medical/trauma response management
- Assistance and management of emergency medical evacuations
- Diagnosis and management of routine medical conditions and minor injuries.
- Management of sick bay
- Maintainence of individual medical records
- Provision of first aid training as required
- To promote health awareness programmes
- Inventory management
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must have at least 3 years experience as an offshore Medic/HSE dual role.Experience on seismic vessels preferable.
Applicants must hold the following certifications/qualifications:
BOSIET
HUET
Current offshore medical
HSE Offshore medic certificate
NEBOSH General Certificate
ALS
Incident Investigation Training
