Duties


  • Providing emergency medical care to sick/injured personnel
  • Promote and monitor compliance with the Apache Safety Management
  • System, procedures, annual plans and facility audit schedules.
  • Champion site health and safety and promote total job safety and
  • develop a proactive safety culture
  • Undertake audits and inspections to review and assess the
  • implementation of work programs, safety requirements and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Develop and deliver H&S information sessions on industry and statutory
  • matters as required to ensure health and safety remains a key focus at the operational level
  • Make recommendations for improvements and provide technical advice on
  • relevant safety matters.
  • Assess and review work methods
  • Ensure hazards are identified and risk management protocols implemented
  • Provide safety advice/support to personnel, departments and contractors.
  • Assist with implementation of improvement programs to address
  • non-compliances.
  • Conduct incident investigations as required to establish root causes.
  • Facilitate inductions for new arrivals as Helicopter Administration
  • Officer
  • Manage offshore arrivals (POB).
  • Facilitate the operation to ensure that the current Operational and
  • Safety Management procedures are readily available.
  • Set up medical centre/facilities for the offshore asset for new build
  • facilities
    Requirements
    To be considered for this role you will have:


  • To be based in Perth
  • Registered Nurse qualifications
  • Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (Certificate IV or
  • higher)
  • A working knowledge of the legislative environment as it relates to
  • safety in the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in developing a proactive approach to Health & Safety
  • A valid TBOSIET and MSIC card
  • The follow attributes are highly regarded for the position


  • A minimum 5 years practical application of Health and Safety in
  • production operations in the hydrocarbon/petrochemical industry is desirable
  • TapRoot training or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with good computer
  • literacy
  • The ability to implement policies, procedures and training programmes
  • to address Safety and Health needs
  • The capability to communicate across all levels of the organisation,
  • and to be able to successfully influence safety related behaviours
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • FPSO, MODU or marine experience
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • CASA aircraft radio licence or equivalent
