Medical Officer (Offshore)

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Offshore Medical Officers. These positions are vessel based and operating within Western Australia's oil & gas industry. You
will be responsible for between 300 and 500 personnel aboard the vessel at any given time and you will be supported by day and night shift Paramedic's. The roster is based around a 14 days on, 14 days off schedule with the successful Medical Officers flying in from Perth the day before commencing shift.

The Medical Officer must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have current certifications in;

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent
• Advanced Life/Cardiac Support (ALS or ACLS) or equivalent
• Early Management Severe Trauma (EMST) or Advanced Trauma Life support (ATLS)
• Training in the management of burns
• Remote access as required to relevant specialists and/or a FACEM

In addition we requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant and recent work experience (i.e. in an Emergency Department, ICU, Trauma Unit, remote emergency medicine)

Certification in STCW and TBOSIET are highly desirable however the cost of these courses will be covered for the right candidates.
