Site Based Paramedic - EOI

Our Client is a leading oil and gas company with a global presence playing a key role in supplying energy to the Australasian region.They are one of the worlds leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries across Asia Pacific.

We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably Qualified Paramedics, interested in possible FIFO/Offshore and residential opportunities located in North West, WA. These potential roles will see you become an integral part of the site emergency response team.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide initial assessment and first aid treatment / pre hospital care in accordance with the employing company clinical practice guidelines / Procedures.
• Increased ERT and OFA background competency to provide training, familiarity & assessment.
• ERT integration from a medical response perspective.
• Afterhours on call 24/7 Aeromedical evacuations may be necessary for Offshore support
• Daily checking and maintenance of ambulance and equipment.
• Daily checking of medical centre emergency response kits.
• Monthly checking of onsite trauma kits Defibrillators and oxy socks.
• Daily checking and maintenance of emergency response equipment. Organising service and calibration of emergency medical equipment

HSE Responsibilities:
• Conduct Occupational Hygiene monitoring as required.
• AOD testing as per roster
• Assist with health promotion programs as requested
• Health risk assessment for hazardous chemicals as requested.
• Site chemical inventories
• Onsite health and wellness campaigns as directed.
• Visiting Occupational Physician and injury coordinators site visits.
• Attend H&S team meetings as required

Training Responsibilities:
• Include medical trauma in emergency exercises
• Maintain training records
• Target 50% of Operations team members at site facilities have current certificate in BLS on each shift
• First aid training on site as requested.
• Health promotion training as requested

Essential Skills:

Intensive Care Paramedic with a degree in Paramedical Science
Current ALS (Level 2)
Cert IV Training and Assessing


Desirable Skills:
Advanced Trauma qualification
Basic principles of Occupational Hygiene
Previous remote site based experience
Mass Casualty and triage management exposure
