Offshore Medic/Admin/Radio Operator

Description
Primary Duties

Provide primary medical care services in compliance to Company medical and health guideline for personnel at offshore locations.
Provide medical emergency management in conformance to Company medical and health guidelines including resuscitation, stabilization and pre-hospital care in consultation with onshore support doctors if required to ensure casualties are adequately treated and complications avoided.
Provide primary health care services at offshore locations, including:

- Worksite hygiene inspection.
- Vector control.
- Control of communicable diseases.
- Portable water quality assurance.
- Food handling and catering assurance to ensure the workplaces and environment are conducive.
Manage operation of offshore clinic:
- Inventorise of drug, medical supplies and equipment.
- Clinical waste disposal.
- Maintenance and inspection of medical equipment and drugs.
Monitor all radio frequencies as required. Respond to radio and telephone call, transmit relay message to and between platform and relevant other station.
Maintain record of all personnel on board name, affiliation, title and location at all time.
Monitor radio frequency of air borne helicopters. Receive and dispatcher personnel, mail and equipment on the platforms.
To be a member of HLO – Helicopter Landing Officer during helicopter operation.

Desired Skills and Experience
A minimum Diploma in Nursing or Diploma in Medical Assistant
Hold a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APAC)
Shall be registered as a Medical Assistant with the Board of Medical Assistants, Ministry of Health, Malaysia or registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Board, Ministry of Health Malaysia
Shall have at least three (3) years of working experience post-graduation with;

i) Minimum of one (1) year experience in an emergency unit, trauma unit or similar settings within the last 3 years; or
ii) At least two (2) year of working experience as an offshore medic
Shall have Valid Basic Life Support Certificates
Shall have valid certification in Trauma Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS)
