Petrofac is recruiting an offshore based Medic for their CNR contract.
Since the mid 1990’s, Petrofac has provided Operations Support services to CNR’s Ninian, Murchison and Tiffany fixed installations in the UK Continental Shelf.
The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Medic to work offshore at one of our CNR assets working on a 3/3 rota. This is a staff position which will provide routine and emergency care to platform personel in line with the intent of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Theholder of the role will undertake OGUK and ERT Medicals offshore as per the requirements of the business and in adherence to the OGUK Medical Aspects of Fitness for Work Offshore: Guidance for Examining Physicians, Issue 6, March 2008.
Further duties include but are not limited to:
monitoring delivery of all Occupational Health and hygiene issues on a day to day basis and in any emergency situation
provide a focal point for all platform Occupational Health activities, verify compliance with occupational health policies and further develop the system-based processes necessary to support proactive occupational health management
focal point for incident investigation and reporting of all first aid injurious incidents with low potential
act as Petrofac Focal Point by scanning in timesheets and expenses on a weekly basis to Petrofac Office for processing
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be:
a Registered Nurse Adult, who will appear on the NMC Register
OR
a RMN with other nursing qualifications, (RGN or EN), who appear on the NMC register
OR
a Naval /Royal Marine Medical Assistant, who has attained the rate of Leading Medical Assistant/Corporal and above
OR
an Army Medical Assistant (CMT1, RMA1), who has attained the rank of Corporal and above
OR
a RAF Medical Assistant, who has attained the rank of Corporal and above
OR
a Paramedic, who is on the HCPC Register
In each instance a suitable portfolio must be held that clearly demonstrates appropriate experience and service.
