Position Summary:
Operates under the direct supervision of a Lead Operator. The Medic/Clerk provides emergency medical care for platform/rig personnel, in addition to ongoing care of injuries, illnesses and medical conditions. Medic/Clerks comprise the platforms’s primary first aid response team and report directly to the area Lead Operator. Their responsibilities include keeping accurate medical reports of injuries and illnesses, taking inventory of all medical supplies, and maintaining an onboard database of medical records for all personnel. Additionally, responsible for coordinating numerous activities in support of Area field operations as well as supporting main office in data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Acts as primary emergency response resource for his/her designated area.
• Provides medical care for injured and ill personnel.
• Operates and maintains serviceability of medical equipment.
• Maintains serviceability and cleanliness of rig hospital.
• Keeps an accurate inventory of medical supplies and makes orders as necessary.
• Acts as rig medical liaison to shore-based medical facilities.
• Directly reports all injuries and illnesses to the OIM/Captain and Safety Officer.
• Maintains current medical records for all rig personnel.
• Notifies field management of area-related injuries and illnesses.
• Advises Lead Operator and corporate leadership of medical emergency procedures, including emergency evacuation procedures.
• Monitors food storage facilities, maintaining hygiene and temperature requirements.
• Performs regular testing of water and filtration units.
• Partners with HSE&R personnel and Lead Operator in identifying potential hazards.
• Collects daily production data for summary and Daily Production reporting associated with oil and gas production.
• Enters daily production data into computer using eVIN, sometimes off of handwritten logs and reports.
• Notifies Lead Operator or supervisory personnel of platform well production, individual well production test performance, measurement/process maintenance, safety and compliance issues that require attention.
• Operates and monitors radio and telephone communications equipment as required for platform operations, logistics and reporting with helicopter and marine transportation.
• Operates pedestal/boom cranes using hand and foot controls to transfer personnel and supplies to and from platform (crane certification testing required).
• Responsible for following safety procedures and maintaining safety data i.e. daily activity/safety meetings as well as weekly safety meetings. Responsible for active participation of crew members in ways to make meetings meaningful and productive.
• Responsible for participating in all safety training and assisting in safety procedures such as basic first aid, CPR, fire drills, safety capsule deployment/operation and emergency evacuation.
• Responsible for proper training of platform Operators in the process and the use of proper PPE.
• Responsible for orienting new personnel to the facility or field.
• Responsible for supporting the preparation of MOC as part of SEMS requirement for any non- routine repair or replacement.
• Responsible for supporting replenishment of platform supplies and groceries using ProcureIt, taking into account existing inventory and caution for waste.
• Responsible to see that each crewmember is properly trained in corporate LMS system per SEMS and can demonstrate competency in safety practices.
• Responsible for assisting platform Operators in managing and completing due lists from Champs and preparing work orders as needed. Work order preparation should be based on prioritized maintenance needs.
• Responsible to support report distribution in platform inspection visits by operations management.
• Responsible to report the training needs for yourself as well as your subordinates to operations management and assist in putting a plan together to ensure the training is performed and documented.
• May be required to travel to worksite via marine or helicopter transport.
• Required to reside at worksite on a predetermined 14/14 work rotation schedule
• Other duties as assigned by Field Operations Advisor, Lead Operator or Management.
Education and Experience:
• GED or High School Diploma and 5-7 years related experience.
• T-2 Certification and Company required LMS training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Familiar with oil and gas reporting and report preparation
• Familiar with oil and gas measurement systems
• Gas dehydration, gas compression, oil treating, water treating, electrical power systems, gas lifting and oil and gas sales systems
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
• Employee is required to climb or balance and reach with hands and arms.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a computer for extended periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Swing rope to move on/off work site.
• The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Requires operation of a personal computer
