Summary
Grey Wolf Drilling International Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Precision Drilling, is recruiting experiened and qualified Medics to assist our Middle East operations.
Responsibilities:
Administer the highest standard of medical attention to any persons working under the companies contract;
Manage multiple acute and trauma events including stabilization on site for up to 24 hours in collaboration with local medical provider or 'topside' medical support;
Provide input into decisions on medical evacuations;
Participate in emergency response exercises and major incident plans with emergency response/HSSE team at least on a quarterly basis;
Inspect and maintain all aspects of medical and safety equipment, whether portable or fixed, that constitutes the provision of assistance in a medical incident;
Ensure patient records are maintained and that all occurrences of illness and injury are reported immediately to the Rig Manager;
Prepare, submit and record Company reports as directed by the Rig Manager;
Abide by company’s policy regarding chemicals and their dangers, including proper disposal of all medical waste items;
Conduct regular training in first aid and stretcher bearing;
Physically check and restock all first aid stations, chemical showers, PPE lockers and eyewash stations; and,
Perform stock control and administration of all drugs, medicines and creams to patients.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must be fluent with written and spoken English;
Previous Experience working in remote locations preferred;
Oil and gas industry experience preferred; and,
Ability to make independent clinical and non-clinical decisions within the scope of a registered nurse.
Education & Experience: Degree in Nursing Minimum 3 Years Work Experience in Clinical Nursing
Certifications & Training:
ATLS observer and ACLS or equivalent training and certification within the last 2 years; and,
Holds current registration or license.
