Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned personnel in the Zirku Clinic ensuring that patients receive the proper and correct. Care and attention required.
Examine patients, diagnose their ailments, and prescribe medicines and follow-up on their treatment to convalescence. Administer drugs, perform minor surgery, interpret X-rays and ECGs, carry out extensive aid on emergency cases and supervise evacuation of serious cases to Abu Dhabi.
Plan and administer general health services at Zirku Island. Decide on the medical equipment to be acquired, plan and recommend medical action for occupational health programs, preventive health care, industrial health hazards, general diseases and primary health care.
Visit patients at their accommodation, as necessary; examine; prescribe necessary laboratory tests; analyze test results; identify ailment and administer drugs, injections or other treatment as necessary.
Control the release of medical information on personnel.
Schedule dentist's visits to island, (twice weekly} and approve priorities for emergency cases.
Ensure that good public health standards and preventive medicine measures are maintained. Initiate and maintain public health measures on Zirku island sea and air ports as stipulated by the Ministry of Health. Advise Catering and Housing Supervisors on proper hygiene standards; direct pest, vermin and rodent control by contractors, and ensure the adequacy of used chemicals, pesticides and related equipment.
Carry out other similar or related duties such as supervising all activities associated with industrial medical practices, ensuring adequate stocks of drugs and equipment. And the proper maintenance of medical records.
Minimum Requirements:
M.B.Ch.B. from recognized university plus a short course in industrial medicine.
5 years' experience as a general practitioner.
License to practice medicine in the U.A E.
