Medical Officer - Remote Medicine

We are looking for an A&E doctor or GP to provide remote offshore support offering advice and oversight of treatment delivered by trained medics in offshore locations, either on a full-time or part-time basis. The service would be conducted out of our Aberdeen Clinic. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to provide clear leadership in the delivery of professional and effective medical services for clients, achieving the highest standards of excellence.
In addition to offering support to Offshore Medics in the Northern Seas region, you would be encouraged to perform Occupational Health related duties, including Oil & Gas UK medical examinations, pre-placement and back-to-work medical assessments, working as part of our team within the Aberdeen Clinic.
Additional responsibilities include:
Medical due diligence and case direction with respect to all offshore medical cases
All ongoing medical related tasks required on all offshore cases
Provision of assistance with referrals
Providing clear case direction at the handover process in the assistance centre
Directing the medical frequency/intensity of medical contacts with onsite medics and clients
Completing medical assessments and provide medical reports
Interpreting results from health screening or diagnostic testing and advising on fitness to work, in compliance with statutory, industry or client standards
Applicants must be GMC registered with a current licence to practise medicine in the UK.
