Doctor (Luxury Cruise Ship)
Location: Onboard Cruise Ship Worldwide
4:2 rotation (months)
The purpose of this position will be to provide the Guests and Crew with medical care for all minor and major emergencies situations as well as the general medical care of all crew members including providing preventative medicine and care.
In this 'hands on' position as Doctor you will report directly into the Snr Doctor & Staff Captain, and enjoy the responsibility and authority that the role offers.
You will provide medical services to guests and crew, and assist the Snr Doctor with shipboard health related matters, including illness reporting and outbreak prevention.
You will ensure that all guests receive the best quality of care, and that all care is delivered in line with international and company policies and legislation.
The ideal candidate will have:
-Clinical experience working in acute care
-Experience in Cardiac Life Support
-Experience in diagnosing and treating a broad range of medical conditions
-Experience performing minor surgery (suturing, removal of skin lesions ETC)
-Medical Degree from a recognised college/University
-An active medical license
-ACLS, LALS, ATLS/ITLS
-Fluent English language written & verbal is essential
-Excellent interpersonal skills
