Petrofac is recruiting an offshore HSEA Medic on a 2/3 rotation

We are looking to recruit an offshore HSEA Medic on a staff basis. This role is to maintain a state of medical emergency preparedness and provide routine health care to all personnel on-board assigned installation in accordance with the client Topside medical provider. The HSEA Medical will also provide all installation personnel with competent health, safety and environmental advice regarding the requirements of the client’s Integrated Management System and relevant statutory provisions.

Specific duties include:
Medical Responsibilities

Maintaining the stock levels of medications. Ensuring safe custody of controlled drugs and maintaining the controlled drugs register
Managing clinical waste
Ensuring all installation medical equipment is regularly inspected and maintained
Developing and maintaining contingency plans for medical installation emergencies, including single and multiple casualty scenarios

Conducting hygiene audits on the catering and accommodation facilities
Health Surveillance: Audiometry/Noise, HAVS, Skin, Respiratory
HSE Responsibilities

Ensuring that all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are correctly reported, investigated and corrective actions identified
Maintaining the incident reporting database and provide quality assurance on action close out
Promoting the installation safety observation programme and ensuring all observations are recorded and tracked to closure
Providing assurance through worksite sampling that all activities are carried out in accordance with the permit to work system
Conducting site inductions and orientation tours


The successful candidate must have a current valid HSE Offshore Medic Certificate AND one of the following:

Registered Nurse (Adult) with NMC current registration, a suitable portfolio and prior offshore experience
Royal Navy/ Royal Marines/ Royal Fleet Auxiliary Medic who has attained the rank of Leading Hand/ Corporal & a suitable portfolio with prior offshore experience
Army Medical Assistant (CMT1, RMA1) or RAF Medical Assistant – who has attained the rank of Corporal & a suitable portfolio with prior offshore experience
As part of the HSE requirement for this role candidates must also have NEBOSH General Certificate.
