Job Summary:

The Rig Doctor position assists and supports the Rig Managers to implement the Policies, Procedures, Standards, Training and medical aid as outlined in the company's BMS at the rig site. The Rig Doctor shall ensure that ALL personnel including visitors to the site are fully aware of the company policies and procedures prior to being exposed to the worksite incase STC is not available. He provides medical treatment to personnel that are ill or injured Administers emergency first aid also provides routine health and hygiene services. Auditing of company's policy and procedures is part of their duties. This includes the auditing of departmental administration as well as conducting administration for items which fall within this job description such as training health and hygiene.

Few of the key responsibilities:
Maintain Ambulance and perform Weekly Inspection of the ambulance.
Participate in QHSE Meeting, Pre tour, Weekly QHSE meeting, Safety Committee meeting.
Operate and maintain the Rig site Hospital/clinic, Medical and First Aid facilities with Equipment, medicine.
Maintain inventory of medicine and clinic equipment at monthly basis.
Lead the First Aid Team in the Emergency Response Organisation
Train relevant crew members in first aid, and prepare and conduct first aid drills.
Responsible for that any accidents or near misses that he is witness to is reported.
Provides medical treatment to personnel that are ill or injured.
Responsible to ensure proper medical supplies and equipment are on board and are properly administered.
Monitors health and cleanliness of all rig personnel.
Inspects living quarters/Senior and junior camp for cleanliness and hygiene.
Teach and train crew about seasonal diseases prevention.
Aid crew about balanced diet and healthy habits and how to maintain healthy body weight.
Promote health and hygiene at rig side among employees and catering crew.
Check and maintain health and medical record of catering crew.
Job description should also contain a time period of 12 hours 6am to 6pm.
In case of any Serious emergency and emergency only he should be call up after this time frame.
Manage and inspect catering supplies and catering hygiene practices while cooking and serving.
Categorize work related illnesses and none work related injuries as it comes along.

Qualifications / Experience:
MBBS from PMDC approved institution.
House job in Medicine and Surgery.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience in the oil and gas field is a plus factor.
Computer literate and very competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Advance lifesaving Certification(or) A certificate testimonial in Managing Emergency cases in Medicine and Surgery
