EMT Safety Technician

Location: Offshore USA
Secorp Industries Ventura, California division is currently seeking an Offshore and Onshore Safety Technician/EMT's to work on customer oil platforms in the Santa Barbara Channel and onshore plant facilities. The work schedules vary form 7 days on with 7 days off, or 14 days on with 14 days off.
Prerequisites for working with Secorp Industries are as follows:
Must be able to pass a Security Background Check.
Must be able to pass DOT and Non-DOT Drug / Alcohol Screens. Zero Tolerance - This includes Medical and Recreational Marijuana.
Must have a very clean DMV driving record.
Must able to live and work on an oil platform for the entire hitch.
Must be an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) registered in California or hold National Registry.
Basic Duties you will be trained for that our Technicians perform are as follows:
Monthly inspections of SCBA's, Fire Extinguishers and Life Saving Appliances on offshore oil platforms.
Assist with monthly BSEE and USGS required drills.
Meet arriving and departing Crew Boats and Helicopters.
Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of all safety equipment.
Able to perform Emergency Medical duties if an incident occurs and complete appropriate paper work when medevac is necessary.
Calibrate gas detection instruments.
Skills:
Must have the ability to communicate clearly with management, supervisors and field personnel to coordinate safe work on location.
A demonstrated willingness to enforce HSE standards, guidelines and written procedures in a civil and respectful manner and gain commitment from others.
Must have PC application skills, including spreadsheet and word processing products for incident reporting and analysis of HSE events.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
