Expression of Interest - Registered Nurse - Offshore

This expression of interest is for a major offshore facility. Generous remuneration will be provided for candidates who have the stated experience and skill set
As a proven professional the RN will possess the necessary skills to take care of all facility personnel, providing health and wellness programs, hygiene inspection, day to day medical care and advice as well as responding to medical emergencies including assisting with medivac support.
The RN must be an advanced clinical practitioner in nursing who will provide medical assessment, treatment and care in the out-of-hospital environment for acutely unwellpatients with significant illness or injury. This role will also form part of the management team at the facility and may be required to attend facility meetings and perform administration duties that sit outside of the normal medic duties.
Key Selection Criteria and Qualifications required:
Current AHPRA registration with no conditions, undertakings or reprimands;
Minimum of 2+ years' recent experience on offshore facilities;
Current TBOSIET certification
Current BLS and ALS
Current ATLS (to manage single and multiple casualties)
Current Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) - minimum Team Provider Course certification
relevant and recent thrombolysis training qualification
Trained in obtaining substance abuse samples (Drugs and alcohol)
Current Marine Radio Operator's Certificate of Proficiency for VHF and MF/HF radio operations.
Must be able to demonstrate ongoing professional development;
Current National Police Clearance ;
Key Accountabilities are (but not limited to)
Medical emergency response in the event of an emergency/disaster
Medivac medical support for unwell personnel
Day to day management of minor medical conditions
Maintain medical facilities to a high level operational readiness and as per current Australian Guidelines for the prevention and Control of Infection in Healthcare
Maintain Clinic al Practice Guidelines
Hydration testing
Education of crews/shifts on relevant health related topics
Ensure 100% compliance to Company and client occupational health and safety guidelines / policies and procedures.
