We are looking to recruit offshore medics to join our team, a range of shift patterns of 12 hours, varying from 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off; 2 weeks on, 3 weeks off; 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off; longer projects on vessels.

Brief overview of responsibilities and duties 
The offshore medic shall act as the primary source of medical advice on the installation for anypersonnel suffering from illness or injury. The offshore medic shall be capable of exercising appropriate and competent medical skills in the event of an injury or acute illness, providing advice, and consulting with onshore management, as required. 

Duties can include:
Provide onsite first aid, primary care and initiate treatment of acute medical and surgical conditions for all personnel on offshore installation
Provide initial emergency response, resuscitation and stabilisation of critically ill or injured (trauma) patients, employing ALS/ATLS emergency medical protocols
Communicate and provide details to the topside doctor for the management and treatment of medevac cases, provide appropriate referral documentation for injured or ill personnel and liaise with logistics personnel to arrange safe transfer onshore to receive further medical treatment
Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in line with professional standards and company requirements including MCL Medics data bases
Administering prescription and other controlled drugs under the authority of the topside doctor
Maintain complete and accurate written and computerised records, reports, statistics and referral letters relating to all clinical work and ensure the security and confidentiality of information under the requirements of GDPR and Access to Medical Records Act (1990)
Actively participate in the installation’s emergency response for major medical incidents, including participation in medical exercises and the refresher training of first-aid teams and stretcher parties on the installation/site Emergency Response Plan
Assist in the planning of emergency procedures to ensure an appropriate first-line medical response to an emergency situation
First Aid training for the emergency teams
Ensure all pharmaceutical provisions are correctly ordered, maintained and stored in accordance with UK Legislation and MCL Medics standards
Ensure appropriate distribution and storage of medical supplies around the installation and sickbay and correct disposal of clinical waste
Operate all medical emergency equipment listed within the MSOPs. Conduct a regular function test and record findings
Ensure all medical emergency equipment is appropriate as related to current regulations including monitoring and arranging for equipment calibration prior to expiration date or replacement as required
Completion of sickness/illness referral form in the case of a medevac
Prevent, identify and investigate possible outbreaks of communicable disease in liaison with MCL Medics Remote Medical Services team

Qualifications
Registered Nurse we at least 3 year post-graduation experience
HCPC Registered Paramedic
Combat Medical Technician Class 1 (CMT)
Royal Navy Medical Assistant
Royal Air Force Medics Assistant
Royal Fleet Auxiliary Services Medical Technician

Minimum qualification and training need to work offshore
HSE approved offshore medics certificate
OGUK Medical
BOSIET/FOET (c/w-EBS)

Desired qualifications and training include
Vantage trained
NEBOSH
Manual Handling Assessor
HAVS
NEMS Noise at work competent person
ERT part 2 training
