Offshore Medic / HSE Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an Offshore Medic who will provide provision of independent medical support and healthcare to the offshore organisation. You will also provide offshore HSE support, guidance and coaching in accordance with the DeepOcean HSEQS Management System, current legislation and regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
Medic
Administering treatment and caring for all personnel who become injured or ill in accordance with their competence level and medical training.
Ensuring that the provided first aid accommodation and facilities are adequate and to report any deficiencies that relate to the security and storage of medication.
Liaison with the 24 hour onshore doctor service as required.
Ensuring that emergency contact details and local medical facilities are clearly identified.
Reconciliation of medication, equipment and consumable items.
Placing orders for additional / replacement medication and consumable items using correct documentation.
HSE
To participate and assist with compilation of specific JSA as required, including identifying areas of non-compliance.
Support the HSE Engineers in the administration and up-keep of the COSHH Management System in the offshore environment.
To support the HSE Engineers in the review of specific JSAs (inclusive of specific COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, WAH, Manual Handling, PPE Regulatory requirements).
Conduct DSE Assessments offshore and provide advice on workstation health risks and controls.
To attend and actively participate in offshore operational HSE meetings.
Delivery of relevant training and awareness courses.
To conduct HSE inductions (including refresher) / training (including emergency response) and maintain appropriate records; Offshore active monitoring of PPE in terms of specification, use and guidance on use.
Administration
Assisting Offshore Manager with appropriate general administrative tasks as required with the understanding that this is secondary to medical duties.
To assist Offshore Manager in conducting DeepOcean inductions for new arrivals on-board the vessel or during mobilizations where no HSE Engineer is available.
Record and prepare the minutes of the Daily Progress Meetings, which are to include senior operational staff, client’s representatives and vessel senior personnel.
Qualifications
HSE Approved Offshore Medics Certificate of Training.
Industry Recognised Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH / NEV Level 3 or equivalent) and relevant work experience.
Offshore Survival / Medical.
Personal qualities
5 Years of relevant health care experience (RGN acute sector/CMT1/Paramedic) must have current NMC/HCPC registration where appropriate.
Relevant HSE operational knowledge.
Strong relevant medical knowledge.
Global offshore experience.
Self-disciplined.
Approachable - Good Interpersonal Skills.
