Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
The Medic will:
Monitor the physical and medical well-being of all personnel on-board the rig.
Provide First Aid and medical services including medical emergency response.
Maintain medical records.
Control and maintain an accurate list of medications brought on-board the MODU.
Maintain the medical stores and hospital equipment in accordance with company requirements.
Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs
Assist in the training and development of rig personnel in accordance with company safety programs and procedures
Participate in onboard safety meetings, operational meetings, drills, and onboard training as required
Maintain training records including Worldwide Competency records
Maintain accurate reports and documents in line with the corporate document retention schedule
Liaise with the regional and or corporate Training Departments.
Facilitate helicopter briefings and inductions with the SDR.
Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (G.E.M.S.)
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Basic
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in United States without restrictions
Possess or able to obtain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC). Any candidate selected for this position will not be allowed to begin work without a card in hand or proof from the TSA of a card "In Production" or "In Transit." For more information, visit the TSA website
Possess a valid State EMT- Paramedic's license or National Registry EMT-Paramedic's license (NREMT-P) or regionally equivalent certification/licensure.
2 or more years of relevant work experience.
Preferred
Previous offshore drilling experience
Proficient in using Microsoft Office
